History

Investment in the future
In recent years, we have invested more than 10 million euros in the future of our company,
in order to ensure all-round growth and further development. We have developed planning and action strategies that
are fit for purpose, not only in the present, but also in the future.

Building complex expansion 2019

The building complex which was extended in 2019, provides more production and office space.

2019
Dallmer products remain very much in demand; above all the increasing popularity of the level-access shower has pushed the sales figures up. For us this means: we need more machines, more employees and it is thus time for another new build – this one will be annex no. 5. The new building provides 500 m2 of production space on the ground floor and 700 m2 of office space on the upper floor, where part of the administration is housed. The employees here enjoy modern architecture which uses generous glazing and open design to create a transparent atmosphere and encourage communication.

Planning for tomorrow today.

2016
Dallmer has acquired three machines for its metal production; two milling machines and a water-jet cutter The machines will be operated by five new employees who were hired specifically for this purpose.

2015
Due to the sharp rise in demand, Dallmer is expanding its premises: we have bought an adjacent 20,000 m2 piece of land for the purpose of building a new shipping and logistics centre. This will give Dallmer an additional 4,000 m2 hall space with a 50 m long bridge connecting the old and new hall.

100 years of Dallmer
A lot has happened in the last 100 years: we have completely changed our core business, given design the level of priority
it deserves and revolutionised the drainage of level-access showers.
And we see that as our incentive to continue what we do well for the next 100 years – no resting on our laurels for us.

2013
Dallmer has now been established for 100 years and is more active than ever. Of all the innovations, the CeraWall drainage systems are attracting particular attention. That is because it is the first surface drainage system to separate the shower channel from the drain and enable surface drainage.

Growth
Dallmer continues to expand – geographically, technically and in terms of human resources. We open new agencies abroad,
invest in new production facilities, launch new innovations on the market
which, above all, will forever change the face of drainage level-access showers,
and management welcomes two new members.

Foray into the world of clogs
Helmuth Dallmer's greatest passion was horses. When his horse fell ill with
laminitis, it was a formative experience, sending him on a long heart-felt search for
an animal-friendly alternative to the horseshoe.

1977
The Dallmer clog goes into production. All models adhere to the following principle: glue instead of nails! They are also all made of plastic instead of iron. Both of which meet the needs of horses that go barefoot or have hoof problems.

How we became what we are today
Dallmer has already developed extensive expertise in the manufacture of a wide range of plastic products.
At the start of the 1960s, the decision is made to change the company's core business for good:
Dallmer very successfully switches to drainage technology.

1977
Dipl.-Ing. Johannes Dallmer (3rd generation) joins the company. Johannes begins his career as a qualified engraver and then completes an engineering degree majoring in plastic process engineering, thus forging a link between the historical beginnings of the company and its future in the drainage industry. As a technophile engineer, he also brings along his passion for large, high-precision machines. Because one thing is clear: high-quality products can only be produced with high-quality production tools.

1964
Construction of the current company premises in Arnsberg-Hedringen. The number of employees quickly grows to more than 100, expansion of equipment and machinery and sales in Germany and abroad.

1963
Dallmer's core business is now sanitary technology, first industrially manufactured floor drains and plastic drain sets.

Founding years
These days, Dallmer is renowned as the expert for drainage technology, but it all began quite differently.
Johannes Dallmer Snr initially established an engraving workshop...

1957
Production of the first plastic items, such as handles, knobs and plinths for bread and roll roasters. The product range is then expanded to include the manufacture of tubes, connectors, trap inserts and floor drains, initially made with polyethylene, later with polypropylene.

1950
Takeover and continuation of the company by Johannes Dallmer's son Helmuth Dallmer (2nd generation), born in 1923. Production of, among other things, printing rollers for wall coverings and induction-hardened steel rollers for the production of doilies

1913
Founding of the Dallmer company by master engraver Johannes Dallmer Snr in Neheim, now Arnsberg, Sauerland. The company produced stamps, dies and embossing tools and carried out fine engraving on lamps.
