Level-access showers made of natural stone are currently on trend. With their attractive finishes and timeless appeal, they add a warm and luxurious touch to any modern spa bathroom. Which is why it is equally important to find a technical and aesthetically pleasing drainage solution. Dallmer offers a range of drainage systems that are specially designed to harmonise with this popular material: floor drains specially developed for natural stone, designer gratings with natural stone and multi-award-winning shower channels. You can view just some of these solutions at Stone+tec 2009, the international trade fair for natural stone and stone technology, being held from 20 - 23 May in Nuremberg. Dallmer is exhibiting its products in Hall 1/1-606.
Dallmer has developed its 32 N and 30 N drains specially for one-piece natural stone shower trays - they offer a stronger connection to the stone and more reliable integration in the bonded waterproofing. Where previously each installation engineer would have had to find their own solution, they ensure a safe and waterproof connection to the shower tray and drain. The drains are suitable for use with shower tray cut-outs with milled grate frame and with simple cut-outs. Both drains are fitted with a mounting plate made of stainless steel, which reinforces the natural stone around the drainage point. A sliding seal ensures high-precision installation in varying adhesive bed thicknesses from 0 - 20 mm. The height-adjustable KerdiDrain raising piece ensures professional integration in the thin bed mortar.
The bonded waterproofing can be placed directly on the fleece-lined flange with perforated edge. The 32 N drain has a flat housing of just 78 mm with lateral ball joint connection and inflow, while the 30 N drain comes with a vertical outlet.
To ensure an attractive visual finish of the drainage point, Dallmer offers a range of stainless-steel cover plates in various shapes and sizes, both round and square. Many have received design awards, such as the iF and the Red Dot Design Award. In the case of the Quadra Stone and Astra Stone ranges, a coloured natural stone is integrated into the design during manufacture, for example Azul Bahia, Rosso Verona, etc. The 'Individual' version even allows the customer to choose their own stone for integration in the design. Another key feature is also particularly practical: the square gratings for one-piece, milled natural stone shower trays have a corner radius of 10 mm, thus maximising the technical options of the installation engineer.
The CeraLine shower channels from Dallmer are ideal for natural stone showers. These multi-award-winning shower channels offer the sophisticated design of a linear drainage system. The shower water drains through the narrow line between the cover plate and the surrounding flooring. The minimalist finish is elegant and discreet and is the perfect enhancement for any natural stone architecture. The slim 40 mm height-adjustable cover plate is available in stainless steel, coloured glass or warm-toned teak. The 'Individual' version even allows integration of a natural stone of the customer's choosing. CeraLine is technically advanced: certified to DIN EN 1253, suitable for flush-in-floor or front-of-wall installation, high drainage rate, infinitely height-adjustable, easy to clean, with easy, safe connection. Available in lengths 500 - 2000 mm, special lengths on request. Front-of-wall placement of the shower channel offers an extremely practical and elegant solution. Key advantage: one-sided slope for perfect drainage. Result: even large-format and whole tiles can now be laid without any hassle or unsightly sloping sections. In the case of multi-part flooring - the channel is in perfect harmony with the elegance and exclusivity of its natural stone setting.
