The location is unique, the security strict, prices eyebrow-raising: according to press reports, One Hyde Park is currently the most expensive private address in the world. Overlooking Hyde Park are four residential towers, 10 to 14 stories high and connected with glass stairways and elevator shafts. Inside are 86 luxury apartments, four penthouses, parking, cinema, spa and wellness centre and an underground link to the adjacent 5-star hotel "The Mandarin". The apartments are offered for 6.4 million EUR, the most expensive penthouse sold for more than 160 million EUR. London residences for super-rich owners from 22 nations and counting.
Luxurious homes have luxurious bathrooms and wetroom areas for showering are standard at One Hyde Park. Integrated in them are CeraLine shower channels by Dallmer. Dallmer delivered its linear drainage in numerous custom sizes for these wetrooms. Technically and aesthetically, CeraLine meets the highest standards. For quick deliveries from stock there are lengths of 500mm, 600mm ... up to 2000 mm, but for One Hyde Park specific millimetre lengths were created and delivered. Requests by specifiers for a higher drainage capacity could be achieved by additional outlet units and their special position for a custom-fit installation could be fulfilled. Dallmer also provides the option for customization with lower height CeraLine Nano and Plan versions, with heights of 68 and 90 mm, ideal for refurbishment. Another popular special request for CeraLine W is lateral upturns for even better integration with side walls. No detail is too difficult.
Despite the need for specific technical requirements, all CeraLine shower channels have one thing in common: a purist design, harmonious proportions and exquisite surface finishes harmonize well with different concepts of space. The refined look is one of timeless elegance, and CeraLine continues to influence a whole generation of bathroom design.
The choice of covers is from a huge range, from stainless steel, brushed, polished or matt black and coloured glass to another material with close associations with water – teak-wood. The style ‘individual ' allows the designer to insert the same material as the surrounding floor area. One of the most popular options, it allows the drain, already unobtrusive, to blend seamlessly with the rest of the showering area.
The world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, uses Dallmer drains – and so do some of the world’s most exclusive apartments at One Hyde Park, London. Drainage by design!
